Mass High Tech All Stars
Nominations are now closed for the Mass High Tech's 13th Annual All-Stars award.
Individuals are selected from such sectors as: Advanced Energy, Biotech, Education, Electronics, Hardware, Internet, Medical Devices, Software and Telecommunications. In addition, we'll name players to the Bullpen (which could include lawyers, financiers, public policy makers, association representatives or others who help our high tech industries thrive).

The award winners will be honored at a reception at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge on Oct. 30 and will be profiled in a special section in our Oct. 24th issue. Register to attend the event.
Nominations are now open for the 14th Annual All-Stars Awards winners, to be honored in the fall of 2009.

Mass High Tech and the Association for Corporate Growth Boston (ACG) announced the winners of the 2007 Tech Dealmaker Awards at the ACG Boston 2007 Tech conference Wednesday night. Green tech reminiscent of biotech
The current interest in (or hype about) green tech bears a lot of similarities to the exciting biotech days. Back then, venture capitalists with wheelbarrows full of cash were lined up outside your headquarters. Today, there is a new crop of young, energetic entrepreneurs with green-tech technologies. Although I’m assured they’re new, too, the VCs look the same.

Focus needed on state tax incentive for angel funding
We have a great opportunity to stimulate jobs and advance great innovative products with our young work force and bursting college scene, but we do not have proper state tax incentives to inspire angels to fund these companies.
