CIDC moves on down the street to house bigger HQ
Cambridge Interactive Development Corp. leased a 54,457-square-foot office space at 150 CambridgePark Drive in Cambridge. The company will be relocating from its nearby location at 100 CambridgePark Drive. The new site will house the company’s corporate headquarters.
CIDC, a subsidiary of GigaMedia Ltd. (Nasdaq: GIGM), is a software development company specializing in localized products for multi-player gaming, social networking and affiliate portals.
The Boston-based Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC team of partner Jon Varholak, partner Steve Purpura and assistant vice president Eric Smith represented both the building’s owner, Boston-based Archon Group, and the software development company.
Corporate web conferencing service provider Genesys Conferencing has leased 11,602 square feet of office space at 130 New Boston St. in Woburn. Associate vice president Matt Harvey of Boston-based Cresa Partners represented France-based Genesys Conferencing. The landlord, Billerica-based KS Partners LLC, was represented by the firm’s vice president and director of leasing Jim Grady, executive vice president and principal Steve James, and by senior vice president James Boudrot and senior associate Evan Gallagher of Boston-based NAI Hunneman.
Acceleron Pharma Inc. has signed two leases for office space totaling 74,816 square feet. The company leased the 37,700-square-foot building at 128 Sidney St. in Cambridge and agreed to a long-term lease extension for its 37,116-square-foot space down the street at 149 Sidney St.
Acceleron is a biopharmaceutical company that specializes in treatments for bone loss and developing pre-clinical proteins to increase muscle mass, control the growth of blood vessels and block the accumulation of fat. According to Nancy Sullivan, Acceleron’s senior director of operations, 128 Sidney St. has high quality laboratory spaces and a flexible footprint.
Executive vice president Joe Flaherty and vice president Tucker Hansen of Boston-based Colliers Meredith & Grew represented Acceleron Pharma. MIT, the building’s landlord, was represented by associate director of real estate John McQuaid and senior investment associate of real estate Patrick Rowe, both of the MIT Investment Management Co.
Blue Stream Laboratories Inc. leased 6,097 square feet of laboratory space at West Cambridge Science Park located at 763 Concord Ave., in Building E. Blue Stream is a contract product development and testing laboratory that specializes in recombinant glycoprotein, peptide and small-molecule product characterization, lot release and stability programs for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Executive vice president and principal Steve James, senior vice president James Boudrot and senior associate Evan Gallagher of Boston-based NAI Hunneman represented Blue Stream. Jacques Sultan represented West Cambridge Science Park LLC, the landlord.
Marketing services company Imagitas Inc. renewed its lease of 45,141 square feet of office and R&D space at 48 Woerd Ave. in Waltham.
Boston-based Intercontinental Real Estate Investment Fund III LLC, the building’s landlord, was represented internally by its director of acquisitions, asset and portfolio management, Thomas Taranto.
Imagitas, a subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), was represented by Jonathan Varholak and Ron Friedman of Boston-based Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC and by Cushman & Wakefield of New York.
QD Vision Inc. has leased a 6,665-square-foot office space at 313 Pleasant St. in Watertown.
QD Vision, whose investors include In-Q-Tel, the arm of the CIA, uses quantum-dot nanoscale technologies to create clearer, brighter and more efficient display screens. Watertown-based W.J. Nealon Commercial Realty Inc. represented the lessor, Metro Realty Trust. Executive vice president and principal Steve James, senior vice president James Boudrot, senior vice president Greg Larsen and senior associate Evan Gallagher of Boston-based NAI Hunneman represented QD Vision.
Metro Rockets leased 3,750 square feet and Shaser Inc. leased 4,227 square feet of office space at 130 New Boston St. in Woburn.
Billerica-based landlord KS Partners LLC was represented in-house by vice president and director of leasing James Grady. The firm also worked directly with Metro Rockets on the deal. Boston-based Colliers Meredith & Grew’s senior vice president Matthew Daniels and associate Mike Zieja represented Shaser.
Fishman Transducers Inc. has leased 32,978 square feet of space at 6 Riverside Drive in Andover for its new headquarters. The company will be moving from its current location at 340 Fordham Road in Wilmington this fall. Fishman is a designer and manufacturer of acoustic amplification products.
Boston-based Colliers Meredith & Grew senior vice president Matthew Daniels and assistant vice president Christopher Lawrence represented Fishman, while partner Brian McKenzie of Boston-based Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC represented the landlord, Boston-based CrossHarbor Capital Partners LLC.
Raka LLC subleased 3,672 square feet of office space from Pax World Management Corp. Inc. at 30 Penhallow St. in Portsmouth, N.H. Raka produces websites, branding, print and motion designs. The company was represented by Portsmouth-based The Kane Co. Inc.’s Margot McKean.
